I have been called “Dr. Murray,” “Doctor Jean,” and “Doctor Jean the Mean Green Grading Machine,” professionally, and “Grandma Jean” personally.

I have been a reader and a writer since probably forever. I remember the thrill of figuring out what those marks in a book meant; reading opened up a magical world for me that has never diminished. And it seems I have always had a pen, and now a computer keyboard, somewhere in my life on a daily basis.
